Nil or one (0.5) slot for OFC [Oceania]
Thirteen (13) slots for UEFA [Europe]
Three or four (3.5) slots for CONCACAF [North & Central America and the Caribbean]

National Teams (NT's) are ranked accordingly into groups - "lowest ranked teams", "higher ranked teams", and "top entrants". AFC officates six rounds to select NT's for the top spot in Asia. Out of 43 teams, only 4 will advance to the Group Stages in World Cup plus 1 from an inter-continental playoff.
